It is said---and I have said it myself---that no one turns down 'free money.' Well, I hereby volunteer to be the first to step forward and return my signed over tax rebate check to the government if they will set up a major financial nationalization fund, and start by acquring the GSEs. What a better use of $156B---but that wouldn't buy votes, which is the _sole_ purpose for this rebate. Remember the 2000 election which turned on which candidate offered the great unwashed a bigger per voter kickback (yes, that was exactly what it turned on)? I do. So, here, boys, you can have your dirty money back if you'll spend it on the greater public good. For a change.
