Be Sure to Catch This Saturday’s June 2 NYC Meetup with Lambert

Posted on by

Lambert is passing through New York City on his way back from foreign parts this Saturday June 2, so we are holding a meetup!

Details:

Saturday, June 2, 2018
5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Playwright’s Irish Pub
27 West 35th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues)
New York, NY 10001
917-924-6868
http://www.playwrightirishpubnyc.com

As you can see, the venue is near Grand Central and Penn Station, and not far from Port Authority, meaning suburbanite-friendly.

We have an area set aside, so tell the manager you are with the Naked Capitalism group. They will turn off the TVs in our section for us.

We also typically run later than 8 PM, so don’t hesitate to drop by!

As you can see, it’s near stations for the B, D, F, and M, as well as the 6, so it’s reasonably accessible.

Readers have very much enjoyed meeting each other, so I hope you can come by for lively conversation and potables.

See you soon!

      “Double bonus points…”
Remember ‘Green Stamps’ at your local grocery store? Well, now, we could reintroduce something similar and call them “Green Bonds.” Tie them into the purchase of “Green” products. Also make tham like 401k schemes, with public co-investments available. Make the bonds represent some ‘green’ program, say, solar electric projects, or reforestation programs, etc. Then, make the bond coupons be worth something related to the underlying ‘green’ projects, like, recycled regrowth paper sourced toilet paper, or special bondholder lower solar electricity rates. Much fun can be had, and experiments in the nuts and bolts of saving the species underwritten. (I mention solar electric due to the optimal conditions around Tuscon for such projects.)
Good luck with the meetup! This could become a modern day ‘Lunar Society.’
