Announcing the 2021 Double Your Donations Challenge!

This is Naked Capitalism fundraising week. 796 donors have already invested in our efforts to combat corruption and predatory conduct, particularly in the financial realm. Please join us and participate via our donation page, which shows how to give via check, credit card, debit card, or PayPal. Read about why we’re doing this fundraiser, what we’ve accomplished in the last year, and our current goal, bonuses for our guest writers.

A loyal donor has made a challenge: to double the donations of the next 50 people who give $100.

Make this generous offer a speedy success by going to our donation page now! Take this opportunity to turbo-charge your gift. If you want to donate, say, $300, you don’t need to give 3 $100 donations. One will do. We can handle the math :-).

Other readers have been telling them how important Naked Capitalism is to them. From korual:

I’ve learnt more from NC than I ever would during a university degree, which means I probably owe you about $20,000. Hopefully one day I will catch up a bit but please accept my modest ‘koha’ for now.

And BeliTsari:

Wake up, and as coffee is brewing; see what Yvve’s posted. It’s simplified dealing with Orwellian, hive-minded, echo-chamber, cage-rattling Murika. SEO, PropR’Not, Correct The Record… one blog-aggregator after another, abruptly goes all Kos, MoJo, Alternet, HuffPo, Guardian as journalists are all blacklisted, whistleblowers arrested, dissidents silenced. But we’ve helped amalgamate a compendium of surviving worthwhile blogs, by linking to some extraordinary sources, in the comments. And just as it feels cozy & comfortable and complacency dulls our cantankerous outrage; damn, if somebody up and posts something original, astute, prescient or pertinent to annoy us out of our drooling stupor. Thank yunz nudniks, one and all!

And Chuck H:

It is a pleasure to once again support your work. Naked Capitalism is the one source of news where I feel at home. Appreciate all the writers and commenters.

You can make your contribution here, via check (we like checks!), debit or credit card, or PayPal. If you give by check, be sure to let us know by e-mailing us with your donation amount at yves@nakedcapitalism.com with “Double Your Donation Challenge” in the subject line so we can include it in our running tally.

Thanks to our anonymous supporter for his generosity. I hope readers will respond in kind. And if $100 is a stretch for you, don’t let that stop you from making a donation if you’ve been planning to but haven’t had time yet. Every contribution helps us meet our goals. So I hope you’ll take up this fundraiser challenge in whatever way you can!

Check for $100 is already in the mail. Thank you for all you do! Best to you, your mom and the whole Naked Capitalism family.

Me too Shande. Aren’t we fortunate to have the crew at NC? Essentially the best “rag” on the net. Ciao for now!

  2. JCC

I had planned on mailing in my donation, but I’m notorious for sending mail out late. Happy to contribute my share and see it doubled, so thank you to your generous contributor, :-)

In Connecticut we have an annual ‘renters rebate’ – means-tested, of course – and I was planning on making a special donation from this little windfall. I’ve dithered since the beginning of the annual appeal, and for a change my dithering has worked for the good. Donation made, with thanks to the challenge donor, and in honor of all the NC team do.

I couldn’t figure out how to subscribe without a US “delivery” address so opted for a donation, however then I wasn’t given any option to enter a payer’s comment or specify my handle? Oh well, donation on its way from me :)

NC is simply the best news aggregator I know of right now. 100 US smackeroos coming your way from merry old Germany…

You guys, all of you, are the cat’s meow.
No matter what, and it is here,
that I can go to look at what’s happening
    straight in the eye while
trying to ferret out the current latest current
our managers are trying to funnel into us.
It is my happy place to become educated
in the crisp air that Naked Capitalism creates.

In for $100… the Medicare discussions over the last few months worth that and more! Appears I’m not the only Naked Capitalism daily follower preparing for that change…

No Maggie, you’re not alone. Lots of us in that boat and appreciative of the NC crew and commentators.
