Announcing the 2021 Fabulous Four “Double Your Donations” Challenge

Four anonymous donors have teamed up to sponsor another generous “Double Your Donations” challenge! They will match the next 35 donations of $100 and the next 40 of $50. If you missed our “Double Your Donations” challenge last week, our Fabulous Four are giving you another chance!

Make this big-hearted offer a swift success by going to our donation page now!

Thanks to those who have already responded generously to our appeals, we have sped through our first donor target and are on our way of hitting our recent one of 1350 contributors. You still have time to make this our best fundraiser ever!

And readers keep letting us how important Naked Capitalism to them, both the posts and the wise and witty input from our esteemed commentariat. From Daniel P:

I’m so happy and fortunate to donate to such a wonderful group and a wonderful “rag”.

I especially appreciate the fine job you folks do with the moderation of the comments. I’ll bet there’s a lot that goes on in the background that helps ensure a lively, but polite and focused commentariate.

And Roop Dogg:

Long time lurker. Finally managed to get PayPal to work and assuaged a growing sense of freeride-guilt with a modest donation. I forget which other forum I was lurking on when I discovered NC. It has slowly supplanted most other of my news sources… I only started reading as I was trying to set myself some target in understanding more of the economic terms I’d occasionally stumble across elsewhere. And perhaps win the odd argument against friends in the PMC class. Now Yves and Lambert seem like old friends, as do some members of the commentariat. Also this site introduced me to Michael Hudson. It was a weird feeling as my day job (Latin/Greek teacher) and (originally) passing interest in economic theory freakily dovetailed. But this site is where a lot of things have fallen into place. Thanks everyone for all you do and now that I have finally donated I might even comment again if I find I have something to say. Peace yo.

And nycTerrierist:

my humble offering tk — wish I could send more,
so grateful for this site! my daily news filter,
antidote to gaslighting

And Jeremy G:

Thank you for your website. I would be lost without it.

Thanks to our fearsome foursome their generosity, and I hope readers will respond in kind.

You can make your contribution here, via check, debit or credit card, or PayPal. If you give by check (we like checks!), be sure to let us know by e-mailing us at yves@nakedcapitalism.com with “Fabulous Four Challenge” in the subject line.

And if $100 or $50 sounds like a lot, don’t let that stop you from making a donation if you’ve been planning to but haven’t had time yet. Every contribution helps us meet our goals.

And no matter what your situation is, you can help in another very important way, by encouraging others to check out the site, by telling friends, family, and colleagues, and by discussing posts you like on social media, Facebook (yes I know but it does help) and Twitter

So I hope you’ll take up this fundraiser challenge in whatever way you can! Thanks so much!

    Another doubling offer? Fantastic!
My 3rd donation (and 2nd doubled one) was just sent.
Please, everyone, give what you can – the clarity and sanity that NC provides is priceless.

Thanks to the donors for another doubling opportunity. And a big thanks to the whole NC team for doing what you do day in and out. I’ll repeat many of the same sentiments from other reader/commenters–this site is an invaluable resource for me. Not only for keeping up with current trends but also the historical perspective that helps explain how we got here. Critical independent thinking is an essential skill in this day and age. NC helps me keep those skills sharp.

Thanks to the generous 4. Coming on top of Yves announcing that technical problems have been sorted for non-US donors, this is clearly a call to action!
Thanks to Yves, Lambert, Jerri-Lynn, Jules and the rest of the crew and of course to the commentariat.
