‘The move “is the most sweeping international labor rights action the United States has ever taken — that any country has ever taken,” a senior Trump administration official told reporters in a call earlier Thursday.’
Yeah, because we all know how the Trump regime are really concerned with worker’s rights. The excuse for this latest shake-down is that all of those countries are accused of using and/or profiting from enforced labour. All those prisoners in US prisons working for some of America’s biggest corporations while earning pocket money wages were not asked for their opinion. Still, as before, it will be Americans that will be paying for these tariffs and not those 60 countries.
