We’ve gotten SO many messages that it will take me some time to read through them all and reply properly. I wanted to share a few. Some are humbling. From Another Anon:
The latest financial report for the “Villa of Reduced Circumstances” shows most regrettably that its name is still accurate. Fortunately, the situation is not so dire that the villa would have to relocate to an even more reduced abode, namely the back seat of a rather elderly automobile.
Thus the CEO (that is me), and the chief financial officer (that is also me), are in strong agreement of the need to make some sort of donation to Naked Capitalism. For the moment though, it is possible only to make a donation of $US 5.
Hopefully, the next financial report will show more green and less red, and so making possible a larger donation. We are cautiously optimistic that the chances of this happening, are greater than the probability of some non-inebriated person spotting aerial pigs.
I would like to stop for a second. The fact that Another Anon is giving despite being in tough financial circumstances says how important this community is to him. I hope some of you who are doing well now will dig deep in light of his generosity.

Naked Capitalism is my go to site for news and analysis, particularly analysis to get an idea of what is happening here and around the world. And we know that NC was all over the pandemic story right from the absolute beginning before cases started to crop up in other countries. Same with other developments which helps people get a heads up on what they should be doing. Without NC, the internet would be a bleaker scene indeed, especially when so many other voices have been silenced over the years. Great work, guys.

I’ve read NC religiously for years, but the pandemic made me realize how uniquely valuable it is as a source of literally life-saving information: way ahead of the curve on the severity and aerosolized nature of COVID-19. In fact, I was just at my doctor’s today for a checkup and he had a notice posted in the waiting room about how to protect yourself from COVID. Under the “How is it transmitted?” heading, it only listed respiratory droplets and fomites. “Droplet goons!” I thought, as I double-checked the fit of my N95. I have both Aurora Advisors and Lambert Strether on autopay (and have for a long time), but I always try to chip in a bit extra when there’s a fund drive. Thank you for your consistent high-quality work, and keep it up!
Adding that, given current economic conditions, some of us who were living on the edge as it was might not be able to spare even $5 or $10 at this time, so if you’re reading this and are in a position to chip in even more than you already have, please would you do so as soon as possible?
