Harry Shearer, who has been a longstanding friend of Naked Capitalism as well as a regular donor, has just issued a challenge for this fundraiser. He will match the next 20 donations of $100. Make his magnimous offer a speedy success by going to our donation page now!
And as a separate update: Due to the prompt and generous responses of our readers, we have blasted through two donor targets and are setting a new one, of 1450 contributors. So you still have time to push this fundraiser over the top!

Done… your high standards of quality and authenticity are really inspiring to me. I am so grateful this space has remained a place I treasure… for the information and commentariat, this is the site that has given me the facts to use in discussions with people who think I’m too serious or a bit of a weirdo. On a personal note, my mother passed away suddenly earlier this year and she was one of the people who thought I was too serious and I drove her crazy with my persistent interest in the things discussed on NC (i.e the world and life outside the MSM and pop culture) … until she saw Yves on television for the first time. She was my first convert.
And Larry S:
Thanks, I’ve read your blog for years and never contributed, but I’ve now been officially shamed. Some might think the knowledge aquired is useless, but i guess that’s the problem.
Keep up the good work guys, I love you. Count me in. Thanks a ton for the lessons.
I can only give $8.00, but I would like you to know that my enthusiasm for Naked Capitalism is as great as any person who gave $800.00.
You can make your contribution here, via check, debit or credit card, or PayPal. If you give by check, be sure to let us know by e-mailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org with “Harry Shearer Challenge” in the subject line.
Thanks to Harry for his generosity, and I hope readers will respond in kind.
And if $100 is a stretch for you, don’t let that stop you from making a donation if you’ve been planning to but haven’t had time yet. Every contribution helps us meet our goals. So I hope you’ll take him up on his fundraiser challenge in whatever way you can!
