Hope to See You at Our NYC Meetup Today! Philly, Atlanta, and Birmingham Meetups Soon!

Hope to see you at one of our upcoming meetups. Details for the NYC meetup today:

Ten Bells
247 Broome Street (between Ludlow and Orchard)
Starting at 5:00 PM (note Ten Bells opens at 5:00 PM, so if you get there a little early, don’t be alarmed). We’ll go till at least 8:30 PM and probably later.

ten bells nyc meetup

Subways: F to Delancy, J/M/Z to Essex, B/D to Grand Street

We have both back rooms, so we should have plenty of chance to mingle. Ten Bells only serves wine and beer, but has a good selection of both. Readers say it has good food if you want to get a nosh.

From past experience, readers have really enjoyed meeting each other, as well as assigning faces to some of the names in the commentariat.

I’m sure we’ll have great fun and good conversation as we have at past events.

for those of you in or near Philly, that meetup is coming soon, on Thursday November 2. Reader Fran has a tentative venue; I’ll firm up details soon. We also have meetups coming: Wednesday, November 15 in Atlanta and Monday, November 20 in Birmingham.

NC meet-ups may be one of my answers to “What do I miss the most about not living in the US?”. Have a good time all.

My car is my top answer, thank you for asking.

Cool! I just found out our Jerri-Lynn will not only be there (she’s just in form an exotic Middle Eastern trip) but will be there early! So if I wind up being stuck in transit, she’ll be sure to be there to regale you. I plan to be early too but am subject to mishap.

Sadly, I have been waylaid by business gypsies and have to do some commercial begging this afternoon/evening. I will drop down later if I am still upright as I HATE missing NC Meetups!

I was fortunate enough to attend the late-nite portion of tonight’s NYC meet-up!

Yves & Jerri-Lynn: I sincerely apologize for creepily standing over you two as you waited for your cab/Uber outside the bar when I arrived. I recognized Yves from an RT segment and wanted to personally thank both of you for all of the hard work you do to keep NC humming along.

I wish you both the best and look forward to your future writings and to seeing you both again at a future meet-up.

Nick, Laura, Steve, Dwight, & Tom: It was a pleasure meeting you all and I enjoyed our discussions about what ails the world greatly. Hats off to Tom for his generosity with the Tapas and wine, please give me a heads up if you’re able to make my Halloween party on Sunday. If not, no worries, and I anticipate seeing you soon.

Nick, thanks for letting me know about bamboo in Chinatown. I plan on checking it out.

Laura: Peruse NC, especially the ongoing uber and calpers stories. Ledes abound!

Dwight: it was great meeting you and sharing our mutual love of the sea!

Steve: If you choose to reach out please text me and let me know you’re Steve from the NC thing as I never answer my phone.

Comrade Haygood: Where were you bro? We gotta do a selfie before social security goes bankrupt ;-).
