Be Sure to Catch Lambert’s Presidential Debate LiveBlog/Open Thread Tonight at 9 PM EDT

This is Naked Capitalism fundraising week. 917 donors have already invested in our efforts to combat corruption and predatory conduct, particularly in financial realm. Please join us and participate via our Tip Jar, which shows how to give via check, credit card, debit card, or PayPal. Read about why we’re doing this fundraiser, what we’ve accomplished in the last year, and our fourth goal, burnout prevention

Yet again, Lambert is hosting a live blog as he watches the final Clinton/Trump presidential debate this evening. As before, Lambert will provide recaps of the major exchanges with running commentary. So you can either join the fun live and add your own takes, or visit later to get a good sense of how it progressed in real time.

As before, Lambert will be live blogging but in the Comments section, so that readers can react and follow the thread more easily. We found this to work far better than the usual approach of having the live blog be a post, and then having reader reactions be visually distant from the ongoing observations.

Be there or be square!

Thanks to the priorities of Chris Wallace and his masters, `Debt and Entitlements’ is listed
as one of the main debate topics.
Surely this means that Wallace will be testing the candidates on their knowledge of MMT,
so NC will be the place for informed commentary.

With a stomach strong enough to watch three Clinton/Trump gab fests, has Lambert considered trying ghost peppers?

What are current unfavorabilities of Trump and Clinton? And, still a huge majority want a different choice, what is that percentage now?

from email by Jill Stein’s campaign:
It’s time to Break the Blackout.

Despite the Democratic- and Republican-run Commission on Presidential Debates keeping Jill off the debate stage—and the mainstream media barely covering her—the American people will get to hear from Jill.

That’s because people deserve to hear all voices in the presidential race, so they can make an informed choice.

With supporters like you, we have been successful at getting this people-powered campaign’s message out on social media.

So far, we’ve reached 23.4 million people with our debate livestreams!

Wednesday night, Jill will livestream her final presidential debate showdown at 9 p.m. ET on our Facebook page.

If you want tens of millions of Americans to hear Jill discussing real issues, you need to become the media.

    Here’s what you can do:

    • Share our posts: Promote Jill’s pre-debate posts on your Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. You can download and post pre-made social media graphics, too.

    • Re-post our livestream: When it appears at 9 p.m. ET Wednesday, share it on your timeline and with Facebook groups you belong to.

    • Spread the word: Tweet at us @DrJillStein during the livestream and retweet our live tweets! Use the hashtags #debate and #BreakTheBlackout to send a clear message that you won’t be silenced.

    • Educate: Let people know they can find out more at
The media has been blacking out our campaign, but we keep growing because Jill is not giving up on her mission of building a national party for people, planet and peace over profit.

You can help. Be the media.
    It’s in our hands!

I’m getting’ ready for the laugh-a-thon.
    What’al it be…Medi-bud: a 60% indica/40% sativa, or Blue Dream: a 20% indica/80% sativa.
Somethin’ more for the head and less for the body.
    I gotta’ think on this.
    It’s a great country!

I didn’t watch the first two. I might try to watch this one, or possibly listen. Problem is I honestly can’t stand to look at Hillary R. Clinton. Just can’t do it. Listen? Maybe.
